Shared Screenshot Privacy Policy

The short version
Shared Screenshot is local-first. Your screenshots and recordings are processed and stored on your own device. Nothing is transmitted anywhere unless you explicitly click Share.
What we collect
Nothing. Shared Screenshot has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no tracking, and no ads. We do not collect browsing history, personal information, or usage data.
Camera & microphone
Used only while you are actively recording, only after you grant permission, and never in the background. The camera bubble is visible on screen whenever the camera is active.
When you click Share
The screenshot or recording you chose to share is uploaded to sharedscreenshot.com (hosted on Cloudflare) and served at an unguessable link. Only content you explicitly share is ever uploaded. Anyone with the link can view it; share links accordingly.
Permissions explained
- Access to websites: draws the on-page camera bubble and capture-selection overlays. Shared Screenshot never reads or modifies page content for any other purpose.
- Storage: saves your preferences and capture history on your device.
Data deletion
Local data: remove the extension, or delete items from your library. Shared links: contact sanjananb1@gmail.com with the link and we'll remove it.
